General Description



LDEO pCO2 Seawater Sensor; a system for the underway continuous measurement of surface water pCO2. The pCO2 system consists of several major components; a seawater/air equilibrator, the analysis enclosure (LI-COR 6251 infrared gas analyzer (IR), gas dryer, pressure sensor, A/D modules and gas stream selection valve), computer for system control and data logging, an enclosure holding a pair of air pumps for delivering the sample gas streams, 5 cylinders of CO2 in air calibration mixtures, 1 cylinder of nitrogen gas.

Possible values include 0 (Equil), 1 (Atmos), 2 (Nitrogen), 4 (CB11612), 6 (CC309309), 8 (CA02044), 10 (CA06653), and 12 (CC703172). Temperature from the original equilibrator RTD. The RTD was removed from service in YYYY. Users should utilize the temperature from the SBE-38 attached to the LDEO Takahashi (t_eq_sbe38). The sensor-corrected value for xCO2. Users should review the source_id to identify atmospheric, equilibrator, and standard values.
